Finding Jasmine

On November 25th, 2022, a group of volunteers parked at a local gas station, embarking on Broken Arrow’s very first mission.

They believed that the Holy Spirit would guide them, and they had come to the gas station to initiate their mission with an act of kindness. Little did they know that this inaugural mission would lead them to a remarkable encounter with a woman named Jasmine and her two children, Antonio, and Ariel.

As they stood in prayer, seeking divine guidance, they waited for a sign, a feeling, or a nudge from the Holy Spirit, trusting that their faith would lead the way.

Soon after, a car pulled into the gas station. Jasmine was driving with her children, unaware of the extraordinary chain of events that was about to unfold. She, too, was a woman of deep faith, and she had a sense that something extraordinary was happening as she parked her car near the volunteers.

Guided by their belief in divine intervention, the volunteers felt a strong pull toward Jasmine's car. One volunteer approached Jasmine and began to speak with her, he felt an overwhelming sense of connection. Jasmine was visibly moved by the interaction and began to share her story.

Jasmine spoke of her faith and her belief in divine intervention, explaining that she had felt a powerful urge to stop at this particular gas station. Her encounter with the volunteers deepened her conviction that their meeting was not mere chance but a divine appointment.

The volunteers, fortified by their faith and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, offered their support and assistance. Jasmine drove away from the gas station with a full tank of gas, and a renewed sense of faith and purpose. The volunteers, too, left with their hearts filled with a newfound sense of mission.
